BAKÁH presents We all come from somewhere, I suppose… (Live A/V)

World premiere

BAKÁH is the Amsterdam-based sound and new media artist Mint Park. She investigates ever-morphing forms and structures through spatial compositions and performances that involve natural phenomenon, textures and multi-sensorial effects in her sound-driven practice. She works with the influence of feedback patterns on the transmutation of our natural environment. Think, for example, of the tipping point within climate change as the points-of-no-return. However, these processes are not invisible and often too large in time and distance for people to perceive.

In January 2022, Mint was invited to make new compositions and electronic instruments for three weeks at EMS Stockholm. These compositions were created from different kinds of feedback patches with mostly one source synth, a sonic representation of the weather, as well as the sounds of the surrounding environment. We all come from somewhere, I suppose… (2022) is her new audiovisual collage presented in a new performance at MACA.
