For four days, our visitors met Dutch and international makers and thinkers to collectively explore the second part of our theme, Mutation. The exhibition at Dokzaal was open for 12 days, and after that Amsterdam Noord became a sunny festival area with locations such as Likeminds, MACA, murmur and Garage Noord. From daily lectures to blazing DJ-sets in the early morning.

On both Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June we livestream the Conference online. Tickets to attend the two days digitally are now on sale and will only cost you €3. On the ticket you’ll find a link and personal password to access the talks.

OTHERWORLDS is a multidimensional participatory performance within virtual and physical realities. Starting with Ukrainian traditions, Sophia Bulgakova is exploring and combining paganism from different cultures and other surrounding magical practices with contemporary discourse and technology.

We are pleased to invite everyone to the festive opening of our festival exhibition Mutation on Wednesday 8 June. It will take place in the beautiful Dokzaal in Amsterdam from 17:00 to 23:00.

With the festival exhibition Mutation, FIBER presents the work of a selection of artists who reflect on the (im)possibility of humankind to adapt to a planet in radical transformation. It uses the biological phenomenon of mutation - the alteration of genetic material - as a metaphorical lens to ground us into a more-than-human reality. Revealing the mutating understanding of relations between humans, nature, and technology, captured by art and design.

Today we are happy to introduce you to the artists, researchers and designers that will be speaking at the Conference of the festival. All six sessions will be taking place divided over Saturday 18 June and Sunday 19 June at warehouse theatre Likeminds.In between panels you can enjoy a cold drink and some music in the cosy outdoor area of Likeminds.

One of The Netherlands’ largest performing art festivals takes place in June in various locations in Amsterdam. We are happy to share the news that FIBER will also contribute to Holland Festival’s extensive programme, by hosting a workshop and a panel. Both programmes are focusing on water bodies; how can we amplify their voices, how can humans listen to them and ultimately, how do we intertwine ourselves with them.

We are excited to announce a very special collaboration that comes together during FIBER Festival 2022. Hailing all the way from Sydney, a delegation of the SOFT CENTRE crew visits Amsterdam as part of their European tour on several festival dates. SOFT CENTRE is FIBER’s Australian sibling in exploring new ideas in sound, art and digital media.
